Board of Directors Human Rights Committee Chief Executive Officer Chief Support Officer New Garments & Goods Location in Guttenberg Garments & Goods in Guttenberg moved to a new downtown location on River Park Drive in May. This new location allows individuals to work in a community integration environment with in- creased customer traffic and sales. Outside vendors partnered with G & G Living Centers, Inc. to offer a wider selection of products for customers including antiques, home décor, collectables, and gift items at Garments & Goods. Garments & Goods has participated in community retail events such as Sidewalk Sales and the Holiday Merchants Open House throughout the year. G & G Living Centers, Inc. and The Council on Quality & Leadership Create Partnership to Enhance Service In November of 2006, G & G Living Centers, Inc. and The Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) partnered to enhance the services offered. G & G Living Centers, Inc. and CQL began the partnership to enhance quality assurance processes agency wide. A new incident management sys- tem and tracking and trending data procedures were put in place. “ The CQL review underscored many of our strengths including a culture of caring, dedicated staff and community connectedness.” Jackson House Receives Commendation from the Iowa Department of Inspection & Appeals During an annual survey completed in December of 2006, the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals (DIA) found G & G Living Centers, Inc. Jackson Home located in Garnavillo to be in sub- stantial compliance. During the survey, DIA examined all aspects of care in the home include meal preparation, active treatment, medical services and individual rights. Commitment to Maximizing Independence G & G Living Centers, Inc. continued it’s commitment to maximizing individual’s independence with one individual moving into his own apartment. Eight individuals began receiving services from G & G Living Centers, Inc. during the past fiscal year. G & G Foundation Ensures a Bright Future for G & G Living Centers, Inc. With renewed efforts of the G & G Foundation during the past year, a strong foundation has been set for an even strong future for G & G Living Centers, Inc. and the individuals, communities and counties we serve.
