A consumer-directed health (CDH) plan that includes preventive medications can help support the goal of ongoing good health. This list provides examples of your plan’s preventive medications by drug category. This is not an al -inclusive list. Medications may be added to or removed from the list depending on different factors, including the intended purpose(s) of the medication and medication availability. Preventive medications are divided by drug category.This list contains both medications that are always prescribed for prevention and medications that are sometimes prescribed for prevention but may also be prescribed for treatment of an existing condition.
